Step by Step Guide to Consignment

Make sure your items are clean and well-kept. This will help your items sell faster for the largest monetary return. Do not consign an item that has sentimental value to you.

Be ready to part with your items. Consigning promotes the sale, use and continuation of your items – all while still receiving monetary benefit.

Do not be afraid to break up a set. Not all items are purchased to be used conventionally. Breaking up a set, in most cases, will maximize your payout.

Have a list ready to give to your Unique Consignment representative. This will help to ensure that all of your items are accounted for and sold under the correct consigner.

If you value your item’s packaging, please save it. We do not display boxes and cannot be held responsible for saving packaging materials.

The amount you paid for an item does not determine its value. We work diligently to set fair prices for both consignors and shoppers; therefore, we do not make space for unreasonably priced items in our showroom.

“Asking” prices online aren’t necessary good price points. Be sure to help us price your item(s) fairly by suggesting price based on geographic location, condition, and price at auction.

Make our staff aware if there is a particular amount of money you need for an item. We want to ensure the best consignment experience possible. However, keep in mind that our #1 priority is offering fair prices.

Come check out our store! A visit will help you see the type of items we accept. Remember, it only takes one item to get started!
Our consignment term is for 60 days. After the first 30 days, we reserve the right to discount your items up to 20% (note that we do not do this automatically). After the 60 day consignment period ends, you may reclaim your item(s); otherwise, the item(s) become store property and will be donated to The Ranch Community Store. Consignor checks are mailed within the first five business days of the each month.
